Nando's Stanmore

If you're strolling down The Broadway in Stanmore and your taste buds are craving something bold, flame-grilled, and full of zest, Nando’s Stanmore should be on your radar. This place isn’t just another chicken joint-it’s where peri-peri magic happens, and trust me, it hits different when you’re in the mood for juicy chicken, vibrant sides, and feel-good vibes.

Let’s start with the obvious star of the show: the Piri Piri Chicken. Whether you go for a Half Chicken with Chips, a Chicken Platter to share, or a full-blown Piri Piri Chicken with Macho Peas and Salad, each bite comes with that signature Nando’s flavour-spicy, smoky, tangy, and deeply satisfying. The spice level? Completely in your hands. From mild Lemon & Herb to eye-watering Extra Hot, you can tailor your heat just the way you like it.

Speaking of sides, Peri Chips are an essential. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and dusted in that iconic peri-peri seasoning that makes them totally addictive. Add some Garlic Bread for comfort, or go for something lighter like a Quinoa Salad or Rainbow Bowl with Grilled Halloumi Cheese-surprisingly fresh, vibrant, and filling. If you’re plant-based or leaning that way, the Plant-Based Wraps and vegan options are thoughtfully done, full of flavour and texture, not just a menu afterthought.

The Chicken Wings deserve their own spotlight. Perfectly charred, with a flavour punch that balances spice and smokiness, they’re ideal for sharing-or not, if you’re selfish with good food like me. Feeling super hungry? The Full Platter is the go-to option for groups, especially when paired with extras like coleslaw or a stack of small plates for variety.

Now, let’s talk drinks. Nando’s Stanmore has you covered with beer, wine, coffee, and free water refills (which come in handy when you’ve gone a little too hard on the Extra Hot sauce). They even serve alcoholic options for those relaxed dinner vibes, and if you’ve got room after the mains, their desserts will surprise you-simple, sweet, and satisfying without being over-the-top.

One thing that really stands out here is the flexibility of the space. Whether you’re doing a solo lunch (and yes, it’s a good spot for solo dining), grabbing a quick takeaway, or settling in for a long, lazy dinner, it’s designed for all occasions. The service is efficient, the staff are friendly without being pushy, and they’ve got accessibility right: there’s a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, seating, and toilet.

Craving a quick bite on the go? Nando’s Stanmore makes takeaway easy, and they’ve nailed the delivery game too-your food shows up hot, well-packaged, and just as good as it is in-house.

The crowd here is diverse-families, solo diners, couples, and groups of friends all seem to blend in comfortably. There's no pretentiousness, no overly complicated menus-just solid, satisfying food done right. And yes, there’s free water refills, which is a small but welcome touch, especially if you’re sampling the spicier sauces.

In a neighbourhood packed with dining options, what sets Nando’s Stanmore apart is the balance it strikes: dependable, flavourful meals with enough customisation to suit everyone, plus a space that feels easy to walk into at any time of day. Whether you’re here for a spicy fix, a fresh salad bowl, or a mix of everything in between, it delivers-consistently.

Can I just say that the manager in Nando’s Stanmore ( a I think his name is Miko - I hope it got it right) is exactly what you need. He was more than attentive, he made sure we got everything we needed with politeness. The restaurant is clean, food always comes out fast and hot.

Eaten here many times before, but compelled to leave a glowing review after the staff went above and beyond to cater to my childs low spice palate. Seated immediately, food arrived soon after ordering and it was delicious. Thoroughly recommended.
